Join us in celebration for the fifteenth year of competition for the Alabama Cup. The Cup was started with the idea of attracting racers to the natural beauty and challenging rapids of the rivers in Blount County, Alabama. The three races held in Blount County are again proud to present the Alabama Cup series. We look forward to seeing old friends along with making new acquaintances as the series keeps going. The Alabama Cup would not be possible without the support of the area races, volunteers and you, the racing community. Each race contributes to making this award something worth racing for. The Alabama Cup awards will be presented at the conclusion of the Alabama slalom racing season at the Locust Fork Whitewater Classic. Good luck on the upcoming season!
Series Rules and Considerations
To be eligible for the Alabama Cup, a competitor must compete in all three Alabama races; the Locust Fork Invitational - February 2nd, Mulberry Fork Canoe and Kayak Races* - March 1st & 2nd, and the Locust Fork Whitewater Classic - March 29th. The competitor must participate in the same class at each race with the best score from each race added together to determine the overall score. The competitor with the lowest overall score wins the Alabama Cup for that class. The class must make at each of three races to be recognized as an Alabama Cup class. Three class limit for each competitor! A tandem team is considered as a competitor and must compete together at each race.
Clarification of rules or violations should be brought to the attention to the Alabama Cup Chairperson. Interpretations and decisions of the Chairperson are final.
